A few days ago, the ceremony of the 2014 Guangdong Poverty Relief Day was held in Guangzhou, attended by Ma Xingrui, deputy secretary of CPC Guangdong Province Committee and secretary of Politics and Law Commission of Guangdong Province, Xu Shaohua, member of CPC Guangdong Province Committee and executive vice governor of Guangdong, and other provincial government leaders. At the ceremony, companies and individuals were given awards by the Provincial Leading Team in Poverty Relief and Development for their contribution to public welfare undertakings in 2013. Times Property was honored to win the Golden Cup Award of the Guangdong Poverty Relief Hongmian Cup again after it received the award in 2013.

Since 2010, Guangdong Province has been motivating people from all walks of life to support the Guangdong Poverty Relief Day. Under the theme of Helping the Poor and Expressing Love, the activity sticks to the idea of “Donation represents love” and aims to encourage more people to promote public good with unremitting efforts.

In order to promote this activity, the Provincial Leading Team in Poverty Relief and Development, having completed such procedures as recommendation (self-recommendation), assessment, publicity, and accreditation, decided to present awards to 240 companies and individuals that contributed to the activity in 2013, as well as 26 teams and projects which were prominent and influential. Times Property and over 20 companies won the Golden Cup Award of the Guangdong Poverty Relief Hongmian Cup.

This is the second time we receive this award. The commendation given for our remarkable performance in charity activities in 2013 shows that the provincial government recognizes our practice in charity. It will become a strong momentum for us to respond to the call of Guangdong government. We will be more dedicated to charity activities.

Dedication to charity with all-out effort

When Times Property was expanding in 2013, it spared no effort to devote itself to charity. On May 31, 2013, we donated RMB 15 million to put up a building for special education--Times Love Building--in Guangzhou Children’s Welfare Institute. This new building will address the problem of lacking space and facilities for education for children in need, providing better conditions and more advanced facilities for their health. The Love Building project is highly valued by both the CPC Guangdong Province Committee and the CPC Guangzhou Committee. It has been completed and will be put into use in September.

Times Property did a lot in charity in 2013. Having finished the poverty relief project of Zhongluotan Town, Baiyun District in February, we participated in the Ya’an Disaster Relief Fundraising Show on April 25 and took an active part in the charity sale at the end of the same month. In May, we held the foundation stone laying ceremony for Times Love Building. We also funded a primary school in Sayi Village, Xinjiang in September and carried out the activity of “Times members on the road” in the second half of the year. These activities are in accordance with our concept of charity and we will continue to do so.

The Golden Cup Award we win this time fully demonstrates our sense of responsibility toward the society. In the future, Times Property and Times Charity Fund will keep on throwing themselves into charity and giving more support to the poor people.
