Guangdong Young Artist Guo Qing Guested Times Property and Interpreted the Building of a Rational Architecture
In the afternoon of August 20, at the invitation of Building Planning and Design Institute of Design Center, Guangdong young artist Ink Village Guo Qing guested Design Center at Times Property Group Headquarters at the 17th Floor. Taking the theme of “Art & Rationality”, he shared with us how to appreciate arts and interpret how to build a rational architecture in artistic creation.
Mr. Guo Qing primarily exchanged ideas with the audience from the perspectives of devotion to time, rhythm and tempo, and science and art. Mr. Guo Qing believed that the way of thinking was the greatest carrier of arts and that learning helped people perceive how beautiful academic research was. Devotion to time, as the keyword of arts, had been affecting generations. Mr. Guo Qing illustrated that artistic creation was far from casual through the “style box” in Chinese calligraphy. He viewed that individual characters and lines, and even the composition of the whole calligraphy work and setting of center were all conscious state of creation.
During the lecture, Mr. Guo Qing also demonstrated a host of artistic works of modern Chinese and foreign masters. He, through the interpretation of these artistic works, elaborated on passing on contemporary Chinese and foreign arts and culture, answered how to integrate time-honored Chinese culture into modern life, and achieved harmony of man with nature and passing on and innovation of culture. With regard to the relation between arts and technology that the audience cared about, Mr. Guo Qing held that art should change with the development of the times, since science and technology made arts more scientific and logical.
Ink Village makes it its duty to spread traditional Chinese culture and has spared no effort to enhance national cultural literacy and carry forward the fine traditional Chinese culture, opening the door to high-end art to the society, which coincides with the vision of Times Property.
This is the first visit Mr. Guo Qing paid to Times Property and he was fairly delighted to share his unique insights into art and hoped that an increasing number of people can appreciate better works. He and colleagues in the Design Center both benefited a great deal from their in-depth discussions.
