A performance for the opening ceremony of the fifth Cantonese Temple Fair was held at Zhongyou Square on the morning of March 5, 2015, with Times Property as a sponsor. Times Property Board Chairman and CEO Shum Chiu Hung attended the ceremony as a guest of the organizer. Despite the rainshowers, 200 eager spectators were there to see the whole show.

The "Fantastic Fifth Anniversary" exhibit presented a review of the storied history of the Fair, while the cultural programs were divided into five modules: "Essence," "Taste," "Love," "Wonder" and "inheritance"--thus giving the show a distinctly rich Cantonese flavor. Amply displayed were the diversity of Cantonese customs, the charm of Cantonese food delicacies, the romance of Cantonese love, the long legacy of craftsmanship in Cantonese talents, and the development and innovation of Cantonese non-material cultural riches.

The week-long fair upholds the principle of Cantonese cultural leadership but is equally open to others. It radiates outward from Beijing Road, Wende Road, Zhongshan Si Road, East Huifu Road, Xihu Road, Zhongyou Square, Wuxian Temple, Yuexiu Park, Tianzi Deck and the Gongyuanqian Metro Station. From March 5 to 11, citizens can relax and enjoy the show district of City Temple, exhibits of non-material heritage in Beijing Road, food delicacies in East Huifu Road, the Water Temple Fair district, the lantern zone in Yuexiu Park and Line One of the Guangzhou Metro.

From 19:30 to 21:30 on March 9, in Zhongyou Square on Zhongshan Si Road, the Fair presents the final of the Cantonese Talent Show under the exclusive sponsorship of Times Property, where jazz, street dance and displays of acrobatics are presented to the delight of citizens and visitors alike.
