Times Museum’s "Sitting Still Moving" to Begin
The "Sitting Still Moving" project co-sponsored by Times Museum, the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy and Guangzhou Tram Co., Ltd., had its official launch on March 28, 2015. In the near future, the citizens will be able to travel on the tramcar and savor a view of the entire city through its windows. However, the passengers will not be able to hear the myriad sounds as they emanate from the city below. Nevertheless, as the tram car passes by towering residential buildings, parks and ports, the passengers will see views of a prosperous city whose citizens are its heart and energy.
The project's sponsors will record the ambient sounds from all the sites passed by the tram car. Those sounds will combine with music, thus creating an audio-visual treat for people to enjoy.
