The Times King City Cup "Dance in King City" Squaredance Competition 2014 concluded in the afternoon of March 7, 2015, with prizes worth more than RMB100,000. The champion won the grand prize of RMB9,999, and 187 contestants were awarded the memorial prize. Additional honors included the Silver Medal, the Bronze Medal, the Best Presentation award, and the Highest Score in Professionalism. 

It is said that the initial audition of the competition started in November, 2014. Over the past four months, 24 teams comprising more than 200 contestants persevered through grueling competition for the chance to enter the final. The competition attracted wide attention from the day of its launch, bringing in more than 300,000 online votes.

[Fantastic Performances in the Heated Final]

At 2:3o in the afternoon on March 7, the final of the Times King City "Dance in King City" Squaredance Competition was held in the six-star club of Times King City (Zhuhai). The venue welcomes nearly 1,000 people, who filled every seat in the auditorium and created an atmosphere of eager excitement.

The 24 competing teams provided a visual feast, in which the performers exhibited a variety of dances, including a passionate belly dance, an elegant folk dance and a boxing-style performance in addition to the popular square dance. All the contestants were thoroughly prepared for the competition, which was high-level in every respect. From costumes and make-up to head decorations, music and dance arrangements, the performers were top-notch.

After four hours of fierce competition, the champion, runner-up and second runner-up were selected from among the 24 teams, receiving awards worth RMB9,999, RMB1,999 and RMB999, respectively. Additionally, there were other honors, such as the Memorial Prize (with each contestant team receiving RMB500), the Highest Popularity award, the Online Popularity award, the Best Costume award, and the Highest Score in Professionalism.

Ms. Zhang, a participant in the competition, said, "'Dance in King City' is of great significance. To enter the final from the initial audition, we invested a great deal of time in rehearsals. I'm grateful to Times King City for holding such a large-scale event."
