The Guangdong Youth Federation and Hong Kong Students' Association of Canton, in the afternoon of April 23, held a kickoff ceremony for the "Youth Pre-employment Plan across China" project, an activity under the 2015 cooperative development project for teenagers from Guangdong Province, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan called the "Youth Solidarity Program" in Sun Yat-sen University. The ceremony was attended by 200 people, including Zhong Yi, deputy director of the Guangdong Liaison Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Zone; Deng Jiaxi, director of the Hong Kong SAR Government GDETO; Mr. Zhang Zhihua and Mr. Shum Chiu Hung, vice presidents of the Guangdong Youth Federation; Yan Guangmei, vice president of Sun Yat-sen University; Mr. Shum Chiu Hung, vice president of the Guangdong Youth Federation and chairman of the board, executive director and CEO of Times Property; and representatives from enterprises providing internship opportunities in Guangdong to colleges and Hong Kong students.

Mr. Shum was invited to serve as the full committee director of the Youth Solidarity Program, whereupon he gave a speech at the opening ceremony on behalf of the Guangdong Youth Federation and enterprises providing internship opportunities. He encouraged the students from Guangdong Province, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to be active, optimistic and courageous, and to appreciate the hospitality of the Cantonese people. Additionally, he encouraged them to explore the profound culture of Lingnan and gain awareness in regard to development trends. He concluded his talk with an expression of hope that more Hong Kong teenagers would understand, love and inherit the Chinese cultural tradition. The guests then launched the ceremony, and enterprises such as Times Property gave the introductory sessions on the internships.

"Youth Pre-employment Plan across China"--a program through which Hong Kong students can receive internships in mainland China--is a key program of the Youth Solidarity Program. The Guangdong Youth Federation has chosen a range of outstanding regional enterprises to serve as an internship base, and has thus provided more than 200 viable internship sites to Hong Kong undergraduates. During the internship, the undergraduates would take part in voluntary service, investigate the national and provincial status, and share the achievements of their internships. Times Property has organized a number of internship activities for teenagers from Guangdong Province, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and has thus been accorded great praise by the organizer and students. Times Property will continue its commitment to the development of youth from Guangdong Province, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan as it helps provide a broad platform for standardized exchange between Guangdong and Hong Kong.
