The 118^th China Commodity Fair raised its curtain at Guangzhou Dong Fang Hotel on 15^th October. Over 600 people, including guests from the Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Guangzhou General Chamber of Commerce, friends from the industrial and commercial societies of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, and representatives from the Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce attended the opening ceremony. Chen Jianhua, Deputy Secretary General of CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Guangzhou, Cai Chaolin, Vice Mayor of Guangzhou, Chen Mingde, Chairman of Guangzhou Municipal CPPCC and Director General of the United Front Work Department of CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee, Lu Xiaozhou, Deputy Chairman of Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce, Zhang Jingchu, Deputy Director General of the United Front Work Department of CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee and Party Secretary General of the Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Yuan Zhiming, Chairman of the Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of the Guangzhou General Chamber of Commerce, joined other guests to celebrate the grand opening of the Canton Fair.

Mr. Shum Chiu-hung, Vice Chairman of the Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Times Property Group, was invited to be the presenter of opening banquet. During the ceremony, fifteen companies of the 2015 Top 500 Private Companies were awarded with the plate. Times Property also won itself the reputation of the Top 500 Private Companies with its strong comprehensive strength.

Mayor Chen Jianhua congratulated on the opening of the 118^th Canton Fair on behalf of the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality and the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee, and expressed sincere gratitude to all the friends from home and abroad who had been long supporting the economic and social development of Guangzhou.

Mayor Chen pointed out that Guangzhou was strengthening its position and function as the national-level central city and grasping the important strategic opportunities generated from the development of "One Belt and One Road" as well as the construction of the Pilot Area of Free Trade Zone. He also said that the city was furthering its overall reform, developing the city with innovation, and forging a harmonious, market-oriented and international business environment governed by laws and regulations with high efficiency and security. The city now is also striving to establish the international maritime transportation center, logistics center, trade center and financial service system to provide a better market and more business opportunities to companies and to build Guangzhou into the best place for investment and business. The Mayor expressed his hope that more friends from the commercial circles of Hong Kong, Taiwai, Macau and other countries and regions could come to Guangzhou to contribute their wisdom to the development of the city.
