On the afternoon of November 2^nd, Mr. Shum Chiu Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Times Property, together with other senior managers of the group, paid a visit to the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) and donated 3 million yuan to the university in support of its development. Mr. Zhong Weihe, President of GDUFS, accepted the donation on behalf of the university. Other school leaders from GDUFS and senior managers from Times Property also attended the donation ceremony.

·The Donation Ceremony

On the donation ceremony, Mr. Zhong expressed his warmest welcome to Mr. Shum Chiu Hung and other senior managers of Times Property and extended his sincere gratitude for the kind donation. According to Mr. Zhong, GDUFS has always been pushing forward the cooperation between academic institutions and enterprises and will, in the future, strengthen its cooperation with Times Property through providing quality education to future managers and multilingual talents to make the due contribution to the development of corporate think-tanks.

The donation was presented as a gift for GDUFS on its 50^th birthday. Mr. Shum Chiu Hung expressed his heart-felt congratulation to GDUFS and wished the ceremony a great success. Mr. Shum Chiu Hung said that it was a great privilege to had witnessed the prosperous development of GDUFS in recent years and to make contribution to its future development as an entrepreneur. He also expressed his hope that both sides could carry out more frequent cooperation in search of win-win development in the future. He believes that with the continuous efforts by the university leaders, faculties and students, GDUFS will definitely become an eminent university with an international perspective.

This 3-million donation will be used for the re-construction of the Teaching Building No.1 on the campus, the development of professional disciplines, the subsidiaries for students from underprivileged family, the award for outstanding students, and the support for professors and pioneer researchers. Times Property has been dedicated to providing scholarships for multiple higher education institutions for many years, and will continue to support the future development of education in China.
