       On May 18, 2013, the "Seventh and Eighth "Poems and People: Prize for Poetry" and Sculpture Works Completion Ceremony and Exhibition of Poet Portraits" was jointly held by Times and Bund (Guangzhou) and World Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences at No. 10 Art Gallery of Times and Bund (Guangzhou). Over 200 poets, artists, writers and people from other circles witnessed the grand event in the poetry community.

       "Poems and People: Prize for Poetry" is a lifelong prize awarded to prominent poets by the magazine Poem and People as well as an international celebration of poetry. The opening ceremony of the event was held at Times and Bund (Guangzhou), with mutual enhancement between the romantic poems and the artistic atmosphere of the site.

       The seventh prize for poetry was awarded to the European poet Tomaz Salamum, and the eighth prize went to Guangzhou poet Dong Dangzi. Moreover, it should be mentioned that Times Property and the magazine Poet and People placed a five-meter trophy on the square of Times and Bund (Guangzhou) this year, converting poems into a kind of public plastic art for citizens and enhancing the aesthetic space.

       Poetry is used to express admiration for art through concise, carefully composed wording. At Times and Bund (Guangzhou), persistent pursuit of an artistic life can be seen everywhere. The sculpture of "Poems and People: Prize for Poetry" was completed here and was again perfectly combined with the artistic life. As the primary artistic villa built by Times Property in Guangzhou, Times and Bund (Guangzhou) will hold more events of this kind and commit itself to incorporating the principle of "neo-renaissance life" into the community.
