The largest and most-watched golf tournament in autumn and winter of 2014 officially kicked off in Ocean Times (Guangzhou). On the morning of September 23, 2014, the press conference and launching ceremony of Times Property Cup of Golf Pro Tournament was held in the picturesque and magnificent seven-star clubhouse of Ocean Times (Guangzhou).

The scene in Ocean Times (Guangzhou) was crowded and bustling with a lively atmosphere. Guests and media reporters from all walks of life attended and witnessed the pomp of this event. At the beginning of the event, sales manager of Times Property (Guangzhou) Mr. Li Tao delivered an important speech on behalf of the event organizers, demonstrating the good wishes that a company of the 15th anniversary shouldered its social responsibility and spread life culture of green art; also, he stressed three highlights of the tournament: The first highlight was the generous prizes of the final. To be specific, the net score championship in the final would be awarded an Audi A3! Hole-in-one in the final would be awarded a foreign-style house in Ocean Times (Guangzhou)! The second highlight was that the event was large-scale. 1600 people would be involved in the final tournament from September 2014 to January 2015, so the tournament provided an abundant and extensive exchange platform. The third highlight was professional assistance of referees. After the speech of Mr. Li Tao, internationally renowned international referee Lin Hongmiao gave a speech as the important co-sponsor and the only referee of the tournament, detailed the tournament rules of the event and took an oath with the referee group. In the press conference, the host also made special mention of the hot scenes of signing up for the tournament. It was in less than 10 days after the signing up began that 280 places were filled out of the 360 places in three races of October and only 80 places were available, illustrating how enormous the social influence of the event was. In the afternoon, Times Property also invited the media and the contestants of first preliminary to participate in the kick-off ceremony in Nansha Golf Club.
