Concurrent with urban expansion, the eastward growth of the industrial belt, the development of sub-core areas in the eastern region and the rapid integration of urban clusters in Guangzhou, the Pearl River Delta metropolis is increasing its capacity the eastern region of Guangzhou City as a means to answer a growing demand for convenient transportation. Responding to this atmosphere of development and opportunity, Zengcheng District has ramped up the building of transportation infrastructure and endeavored to ensure more comprehensive services, thereby serving as a pioneer in the eastward expansion.

The planned transportation hub in Xintang Town for the eastern portion of Guangzhou City is now moving ahead at speed, particularly with the intensive construction of Metro Line 13 and Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Rail. Upon the completion of the latter system, the trip from Xintang Town to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (Huadu District) will take just half an hour, while it will take only 20 minutes to get from Xintang Town to Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. The railway is expected to be an express service for Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shenzhen, which are collectively promoting the creation of a one-hour economic circle.

Times Laguna (Zengcheng), located in the heart of Xiangshan New Town, benefits from an array of convenient transportation options, including five arteries, Xintang Passenger Transport Terminal, Guangzhou New East Station, Metro Line 13 and Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Rail. It's just a 10-minute trip to Luoguang District, 40-minute trip to Tianhe CBD, and 10-minute trip to Chuangye Station on Metro Line 13. Travelers on Intercity Rail will have a half-hour trip to Guangzhou, Dongguan or Shenzhen.
