The 2016 Yuanxiao Fireworks Gala held on February 22, which was sponsored by Times Riverbank (Foshan) and organized by the government of Huangqi Village, Dali Town, came to a thrilling finale that brought a chorus of cheers from a large crowd.

Prior to the fireworks show on Yuanxiao Day, numerous residents came to the Sales Center at Times Riverbank (Foshan), where they could readily taken in the festive atmosphere. Just outside the complex, the road along the Pearl River was crowded with enthusiastic visitors. Then, at 8:30 that evening, 21,000 fireworks rocketed skyward in five chapters, illuminating the night sky with their awe-inspiring pyrotechnics. The display was a wondrous experience for all who saw it.

Reportedly, people came all the way from Guangzhou City, partly because Times Riverbank (Foshan) is easily accessible via the Inner Ring Road and the Ring Express. From this location they could have a riverbank view but also experience a sense of place that one wouldn't necessarily have in another, less accommodating environment. One spectator--a Mr. Zhou, from Guangzhou City--said the Chinese New Year celebration wouldn't be complete without a fireworks show. He added, "The riverbank view of the Pearl River here is as beautiful as that in Guangzhou City."

Mr. Huang, a prospective home owner of the Times Riverbank (Foshan) said that he has seen many fireworks shows in various places but this was his first chance to see it from such a perspective. "The feeling was very different from other places," he said. "I look forward to next year's show, when I can watch it from my new home in this community."
