The Nanhai Entrepreneurs Association for the Promotion of EducationalDevelopment was formally founded with the establishment of the NanhaiEntrepreneurs Educational Fund in Nanhai, Foshan, on August 8, 2016. Mr. ShumChiu Hung, the board chairman of Times Property Holdings Limited, was appointedas the first president of the Association. Thus, Times Property continues toprovide support for the cause of educational development.

Mr. Huang Zhihao, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC FoshanMunicipal Committee, executive vice-mayor and secretary of the Nanhai DistrictCommittee of CPC, in his keynote speech, expressed a commitment to the spiritof Nanhai, gathering strength from all sectors of society, spurring a new waveof teaching awards and scholarships, and securing talents for the future of Nanhai.The mission of the Fund is to acknowledge the teachers and students who excelas guiders and learners; to encourage teachers to be wholeheartedly dedicatedto their work; to cultivate the talents of individuals who constantly pursueprogress; and to motivate students to persevere in their studies despite anychallenge.

Chairman Shum Chiu Hung, of Times PropertyHoldings Limited, stated that he was duty-bound to promote the development ofNanhai's education. Mr. Shum started his school career in Nanhai, and later,having started his own business, he returned to Nanhai for investment andrepaid his hometown through philanthropic activities. Thus the Association'sestablishment has deep significance. It is the hope of the organization thatsociety will be mobilized to improve education in Nanhai through joint efforts.Mr. Shum expressed the desire to do whatever he could for the cause. He said,"Nanhai enjoys very good education and has cultivated many outstanding intellectuals.I hope that scholarships will truly benefit the winning students so that theycan fulfill the objectives of their schoolwork and then use their insight tohelp make their hometown all that it can be."

Times Property has, over the 15 years of itsdevelopment, funded the construction of a center for special education andrehabilitation to serve children in social welfare institutions, a Times Love kindergartenand 13 Hope primary schools. It has helped 30,000 students frompoverty-stricken families to complete their schooling, and has providedteaching awards and scholarships for respected middle schools and well-knowndomestic universities. Accordingly, Times Property pledges its mostenthusiastic support for the development of educational opportunities in China.
