The starter's pistol of the 2016 Yi Xian Cup Zhongshan International Marathon was fired at Zhongshan Sun Yat-sen Memorial Park at 7:30 a.m. on November 27, 2016. The event--which waswas jointly organized by China Athletics Association and Zhongshan Municipal People's Government and specially sponsored by Times Cloud Atlas (Zhongshan)--comprised a full marathon, a half marathon, a 10-km race and the "Happy Race" event, which together drew nearly 15,000 participants. All staff members of Times Property Zhongshan Branch signed up for the event, including two for the half marathon and 30 for the 10-km race.

The course was full of participants, many of whom cheered and shouted throughout the event. Their excitement and joy seemed to have driven away the constant drizzle of the preceding days, bringing forth plenty of sunshine. Participants from Zhongshan Branch, all dressed in purple, arrived at the assembly place before 7 a.m. and promptly began to warm up. Their presence made the busy raceway look even more spectacular.

The race began at 7:30, as scheduled, and with the shot from the starter's pistol the Zhongshan Branch participants burst forth from the line. They demonstrated not only a young, vigorous, positive Zhongshan Branch to other runners and passersby, but they also conveyed their perseverance and passion for life as Times Property people. The Times staff, who could be seen everywhere at the venue, marched forward while waving banners, attracting attention from runners and spectators alike.

The first runners reached the finish line shortly after 9 a.m., and each participant received a medal as a token of honor.

The Yi Xian Cup is not only an important sporting event in Zhongshan but is also the first large-scale group activity of Times Property Zhongshan Branch since its establishment in October. The newly assembled team hopes to show all people of Zhongshan its determination to embrace new challenges, which is does with characterically strong momentum and power while contributing to Zhongshan sports with a fresh, young force.
