Early in 2017, Times Property, together with the world-famous piano virtuoso Lang Lang, the United Nations Messenger of Peace and a renowned symbol of China, held the 2017 Lang Lang Piano Recital in Dongguan, celebrating the New Year with a spectacular combination of life and art.

Lang Lang, in an exclusive meet-and-greet, shared his experiences from a career marked by fierce dedication to the art and emotion of music.

The Junior Pianist Trial in Dongguan was much talked about, given the influence of Lang Lang’s performance. Approximately 2,000 junior pianists registered for the trial, and 10,000 families from 32 towns and subdistricts eagerly participated.

During the meet-and-greet on January 4, Mr. Lang, together with nearly 300 junior pianists and their parents, signed an aerial photograph of a giant musical note and thus greeted Dongguan with the record-setting "largest musical note."

Dongguan Branch General Manager Shen Shuiping presented the group photo to Lang Lang.

In turn, at the meet-and-greet Mr. Lang presented awards to the winners of the piano trials.

As Lang Lang shared with the audience his secret to a strong piano performance, he said that both interest and diligence count, while a good atmosphere can be crucial to the improvement of a player’s skill. This perspective was inspiring, as were all the personal experiences he shared with the audience members and young pianists.

Appreciate city life with the sound of the piano

"Times Property's 2017 Lang Lang Piano Recital in Dongguan" finally got underway, after three months of preparation.

A Steinway grand, valued at RMB 1 million, contributed its phenomenal power and dulcet tones to virtuoso renditions from Lang Lang's extensive repertoire.

The concert started with wonderful music played by the two junior gold-medal winners. Later, as the music floated outward from the center of the stage into the hearts of all those present, the long-awaited pianist Lang Lang entered the stage.

As he performed Debussy’s wonderful "Ballade", the audience was transported into a phantasmagorical palace of music.

His "Scherzo" conveyed Chopin’s energy as well as his tenderness.

The lively rhythm of "Overture of Spring Festival" is full of Chinese characteristics.

The audience was enthralled by Lang Lang’s renditions of classic works, including "Albeniz’s Suite Española", Op. 47, the joyous "Overture of Spring Festival" and the poetic "Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake".

Lang Lang’s excellent student Gao Ming was invited onstage to demonstrate her skills as a soloist. Additionally, Lang Lang played a duet with Winston, a young pianist from Times Property Charity Foundation, thus realizing the young man’s dream of playing piano with his idol.

The main portion of the performance thus completed, the audience, still utterly captivated, begged for an encore.

The Sound of Dongguan, presented by Times Property, recreates the beauty of the city

In the concert, Times Property presented a special gift to Lang Lang: an album called "The Sound of Dongguan". This album contains voices and sounds from every household, road and lane in Dongguan, which were collected by Times Property staff. In this way, the company seeks to show the lost beauty of the city and encourage people to seize the beauty of each moment in life.

Mr. Shum Siu Hung, general manager of Dongguan Branch, presents the "Sound of Dongguan "to Lang Lang.
