The "Beautiful Foshan • All the Way Forward" Foshan 50km Hike, with Times Property as the title sponsor, reached an ideal conclusion on March 25, 2017, amid unprecedented public attention.

As an annual event in Foshan, the 50kilometer hike has become a city carnival thanks to an upbeat new image, and consequently it has become a livelihood project for the municipal government. It took form as the perfect vehicle for self-presentation and the review of urban modernization management results, as well as a means to convey a positive attitude and the wonders of Foshan life. Accordingly, through the use of a "hiking + charity" approach, Times Property Charity Foundation made the hike more of a civic event. Children from the Kang Zhi School were invited to run together with the volunteers from Times Property. United as a happy force, they walked for love and sought a bright future in the advancing sunlight.

More than 210,000 people from different countries and regions participated in this urban festival hiked along the five 50-kilometer routes, bringing the level of participation to a new high. Times Property "Beautiful Foshan • All the Way Forward" again seized the headline spot in all the major media.


The hike was covered by all major media outlets

Popular enthusiasm for the hike was very high, and on March 25 the event set the city into carnival mode. Thus it occupied the major media's headline positions. It attracted dozens of news media from Foshan and other cities, including the CCTV, Xinhua News Agency and other significant media outlets.  

CCTV News reported the event for a second consecutive year, reporting that "more than 200,000 people in Foshan, Guangdong went out to the streets, feeling the life of the city by joining in the 50km hike."



Subsequently, the "Oriental Horizon" program on CCTV made detailed reports on the activity. Wei Qiwen, director of the Foshan Sports Bureau, remarked in an interview that the event "allowed the general public to directly experience the beautiful scenery and the rapid change of the urban construction, so that people will cultivate a green, low-carbon lifestyle."

Guangdong Xinwen Lianbo (Guangdong News) also sent reporters to the scene and highly praised the event: "By calling 200,000 people in the hike, Foshan has shown its green development and the beautiful charm of transformation as a manufacturing city."


It was the first Times that Foshan TV sent 35 field reporters to broadcast the activity live, thus representing the integration of new media and television for a combined audience of millions. Through live streaming on the Internet, Foshan's local residents could share in the joy. Moreover, people from Guangdong and elsewhere in the country could share the thrill of the event as it occurred.

The event was also covered on the Weibo account of Guangzhou Daily and on the Guangzhou Reference app, receiving click rates of up to 150,000.

Reportedly, the mobile app of Nandu Zimeiti (We Media of Southern Metropolis) and Weibo account of Southern Metropolis Daily had click rates of up to 50,000.

Nanfang+ covered the entire event, attracting total nationwide click rates of up to 450,000.

NetEase Real Estate also covered the activity live, with 76,000 people following the urban carnival.

People were enthusiastic about their participation in the event, and many people said life wouldn't feel as complete if they weren't involved. Thus, the Foshan 50km Hike has become a brand and the city's name card, amply demonstrating the region's vitality and passion while interpreting the humanistic charm of this ecological city for the public.
