The first warm-up event of the fifth South-North Ride Challenge 2017 was held on July 16 in Qingyuan, Guangzhou's scenic backyard. Bringing together more than 200 cyclists of all ages at the Marketing Center of Times King City (Qingyuan), Times Property initiated a riders' banquet in which cyclists make a circuit around Feilai Lake and experience together with ease and verve the public spirit of "low-carbon footprint, environmental protection, healthy life."

More than 200 cyclists gathered at the gate of the Marketing Center of Times King City (Qingyuan) at nine o'clock that morning, eager for the start. The lively scene attracted numerous owners, who formed a crowd of spectators, and soon nearly 400 onlookers, including the riders and some parents, gathered around the stage. The participants were alive with enthusiasm and youthful vitality under the bright sky. At the opening ceremony, leaders and guests from Times Property and the organizer took to the stage in a show of welcome and to wish for blessings on behalf of the participants. The racing event included separate competitions for adults and children. Adult riders make a circuit of 13 kilometers around Feilai Lake, the most beautiful body of water in urban Qingyuan, while children were involved in a special bike-balancing competition on the course in front of the Marketing Center.

With the order being announced, more than 200 adult riders filed out from the starting point, forming a spectacular line, and later many of the participants said the grand event that was joined by over two hundred riders filled their ordinary weekend with vigor and fun. Cycling with friends on weekends not only strengthens one's physique but also offers a release from the pressure of work, in place of which one finds physical and mental fulfillment. Moreover, the scenic Feilai Lake made the journey all the more interesting and vibrant. Times Property's hope is that, through such activities, the sportsmanship and positive attitude that values health, happiness and friendship will spread to every corner of Qingyuan so that people can live more joyfully and vibrantly.

The children's course also attracted many spectators. The three- to five-year-old cyclists were learning to ride a two-wheeler from scratch, and they applied themselves earnestly. Under the patient guidance of trainers, the children, wearing helmets and pads, endeavored to move forward on the track. They quickly became interested in the new sport.

Cycling provides a chance for the body and mind to communicate; to unite. Along the beautiful 13-kilometer path, participants bravely stepped it up as they practiced the aim of "low-carbon footprint, environmental protection, public benefit, healthy life."
