The Volunteer Forum and Launch ceremony for 2017 Hope Rural Teacher Program was held at 10:00 a.m. on July 20, 2017, by the Guangdong Committee of the Communist Youth League in Guangdong Youth Vocational College. Times Property Charity Foundation used the ceremony as an occasion to donate RMB 5,000,000 in support of the Hope Village Teacher Program with the goal of promoting rural education.

Distinguished guests at the ceremony included Zou Ming, head of the Organization Department and member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee; Chi Zhixiong, secretary of the Guangdong Committee of the Communist Youth League; Zhang Zhihua, deputy secretary of the Guangdong Committee of the Communist Youth League; Liang Junda, deputy secretary of the Guangdong Committee of the Communist Youth League; Kang Feng, assistant to the president of Times Property Group; and Li Lingling, director of the President's Office of Times Property and deputy secretary-general of Times Charity Foundation.

Times Property has led the domestic real-estate industry by establishing the Time Property Charity Foundation in 2003, with which it pledged to donate more than RMB 300 million to support education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, disaster relief, culture and art, and other charitable areas. RMB 183 million has been used to develop education, mainly to build Hope schools in underdeveloped areas; set up scholarships, grants and fellowship programs in colleges and universities, middle schools and primary schools; and support renovation, reconstruction and improvement for schools.

During the 14 years since the Times Charity Foundation's establishment, growth in children's education has been a priority. Thus the Foundation will encourage excellent young teachers to work in rural areas by carrying out the Hope Village Teacher Program. This will help ensure that every child enjoys equal access to quality educational resources and that every young teacher can contribute to education in rural areas.
