Build a New Era and Realize Our Shared Chinese Dream: Times Property Holds Study Meeting of Guiding Principles at NCCPC

In order to study and implement the guiding principles of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (NCCPC), Times Property Holdings convened a study & report meeting on November 15, 2017. Mr. Du Xinshan, the head of the lecturer group of the Publicity Department of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, was invited to give a lecture. The meeting, with its main venue in Guangzhou and live streaming from 15 branch venues--including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhuhai, Huizhou, Zhongshan, Qingyuan, Changsha and elsewhere--thereby attracting audiences that numbered in the thousands. The meeting was attended by deputies to the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress; members of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; Mr. Shum Chiu Hung, board chairman of Times Property Holdings; and senior executives, management members and CPC members of the Times Property Group, regional branches and associated companies.

The 19th assembly of the NCCPC is closely related to enterprises and the life of the individual citizen. In this overarching context, the meeting was held as a means to encourage staff members to grasp and implement the rich content and core values of the NCCPC, take the development of the Times Property Group to the next level, contribute to China's rejuvenation and ultimate attainment of the Chinese Dream.

The 19th NCCPC, as a meeting of paramount importance, takes place during a decisive phase in the creation of a more prosperous. It also comes at a critical moment, as socialism--marked by key Chinese characteristics--enters a new era as an enterprise emerges amid the progress of reform and opening-up, apace with the development of the market economy. Therefore, the people of Times Property Holdings know their organization would not have achieved as much if it were deprived of preferential policies of the Party and the nation, particularly with support from people of all walks of life. The nation's development plays a decisive role in that of any enterprise that hopes to share its successes with society. Accordingly, the leaders of Times Property Group value the research, study and publicity of the report of the 19th NCCPC. Together they invite experts to give lectures to the staff, so that they can, through learning and practice, incorporate the guiding principles of the Congress into the mission of the enterprise.

As part of the meeting hosted by Ms. Li Lingling, CPC Branch Secretary of Times Property Holdings, Mr. Du Xinshan--a member of the group that would lecture on the report of the 19th NCCPC and head of the lecturer group of the Publicity Department of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee--offered an analysis rich with insight. Mr. Du, a respected editor, has published numerous books and authored scores of newspaper articles. In recent years he has given publicity-related lectures at many entities under prefectural, municipal and provincial jurisdiction, and the many departments have welcomed him warmly.

Mr. Du focused on the historic contributions, main content, study and implementation of the key document titled "Report at the 19th NCCPC as Political Declaration and Guideline for Action to Develop Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era." Based upon the report together with Xi Jinping's "Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era," and by combining theory with expert practice, he gave an in-depth, well-organized analysis of the new thinking, conclusions and requirements proposed at the 19th NCCPC. He cited authoritative references and explained his concepts with simple but profound words, and in return his brilliant speech was met by thunderous applause. Through his analysis, everyone got to understand the rich content and essential impact of the report.

As the meeting was about to conclude, Mr. Shum Chiu Hung shared his interpretation of the report, after which he suggested new aspirations and requirements for Times members. According to Mr. Shum, the wholly encouraging report is of profound significance for national rejuvenation and corporate development. Thus, Times Property Holdings will bear its original aspirations and missions firmly in mind. Driven by the guiding principles of the Congress, the Times Property Group will associate itself with the great purpose of building a society that is affluent in every respect as it integrates its development with that of the nation. By doing so, it will give full play to its role and thereby shoulder its responsibility in the new era.

Management members and all staff members of Times Property Holdings should conscientiously study the guiding principles of the 19th NCCPC so that they can truly implement them as part of their daily activities. The following are among the requirements:

First, study with passion. We should interpret the guiding principles with passion. Only by learning, comprehending and practicing can we grasp the essence of the major theories and strategic deployment highlighted in the report of the 19th NCCPC.

Second, study with a sense of purpose. We should take the new mission in the new era as our new starting point, stick to the core values of "love, commitment and creation," and marry our destiny to that of the nation.

Third, we must study with responsibility. As compassionate, socially aware members of the Times Group, we must shoulder our responsibility, contribute to the common good, and share all we can so that national development and progress can be ensured.

Fourth, we must study with a sense of mission. We must recognize and critically analyze the profound influence on private enterprises and our development in the future as the Chinese expression of socialism embarks upon a new era. In this context, Times Property Holdings will remain true to its original aspirations and bear its mission with commitment to the guiding principles of the 19th NCCPC. We will incorporate the state mission of building a more prosperous society with our own mission of corporate development in the new era.

The Times Property Group will, in the future, pursue the horizon and aim high in its development plan. We will fuel "national supply side reform and new urbanization" as we solidify our position as a provider of services for urban development. In addition to its major property business, it will develop operations devoted to community service, commerce, creative office, household service, special towns and other segments. I hope that under the guidance of the 19th NCCPC, all Times members will persevere despite any difficulty; that we will never slacken our efforts, even when things appear to be easy. We shall, with a more positive attitude, provide service in the new era and embark on a new journey.
