Times China Photo Contest Award Is a Great Success; Life Stylists Lead a Cultural Wave in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

On June 29, 2018, "That's Terrific, My Bay" Photo Contest Award Ceremony of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Exhibition of Awarded Works, sponsored by Times China, were launched at Timing Home on the sixth floor of Grandview Mall in Guangzhou. Mr. He Bin, general manager of the Marketing Management Center of Times China Holdings Limited; Mr. Li Kefu, general manager of the South China Region of Visual China Group; Mr. Gou Hua, convener of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Academic Forum and founder/CEO of Southern Brotherhood and Friendship; Mr. Zhuang Shenzhi, founder and CEO of Person Media; and Mr. Tian Fu Lin, a famous photographer from Taiwan, were invited to attend the ceremony.

In April of this year, Times China joined hands with Visual China to hold a photo contest with the Bay Area as its theme, called the "That's Terrific, My Bay" Photo Contest of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. More than 5,000 outstanding works from 500-plus domestic photographers were received within 36 days. In addition to the several distinctive cities in the Bay Area, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macao, the beauty of some atypical bay-area cities like Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing and Huizhou is tapped through these photographs. Through the lens, these works eschew the tired stereotypes of the Bay Area--the planning and development already known to every household--and enable them to appreciate the aesthetics of the 11 cities in the Bay Area in a multidimensional manner. Thus, the characteristic verve, prosperity and peaceful rhythm of the Bay Area can readily be discerned. The final 30 winning works were also shown in the manner of a photo exhibition for a limited period of two weeks (July 29 - July 14) in Timing Home and Times Horizon by Times China.

Mr. Li Kefu, general manager of Visual China South China Region, made a brief preview of the contest, encouraging the public to experience the value and change of the 11 cities in the Bay Area from the perspective of aesthetics so that more people can see the many beautiful aspects of the Bay Area.

Mr. Gou Hua, convener of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Academic Forum, shared, together with other attendees, the theme of "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Our Misinterpretation" so that the public could appreciate the real appearance of the Bay Area, reinterpret the "Bay Area" and establish a new profile for the Bay Area of tomorrow.

Mr. He Bin, general manager of the Marketing Management Center of Times China Holdings Limited, summarized the theme. The hosting of such a contest illustrated the target and significance of Times China in hosting the photo contest and taking the initiative in shouldering the role of an aesthetics advocate to "discover the beauty of the Bay Area." Moreover, it conveyed, to the industry, the transformation of the brand positioning and the direction to be built in the future. Mr. He said the target and mission of Times China in the Bay Area is a long-term plan intended to synchronize with the development of the Bay Area and ultimately achieve the creation of a better life. This will be an important enterprise direction for Times China in the future.

Subsequently, the organizer gathered a team of guests and photographers to visit the photo-exhibition session at the Times Horizon Life Experience Pavilion, where they could continue to blend ideas for the edification of exchanges in art and learning.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as of 2018, has ceased to be merely a concept. From blueprint to reality, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will become the next world-class bay area. Times China pursues the purity of life aesthetics with the taste of a life stylist as it follows the new brand concept of "inheritance of life quality and transmission of the bay-area aesthetics" and builds a new urban service system that integrates "industry, urban amenities, humanity and culture." The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is the cradle of Times China, the base for deepening cultivation and a strategically important area for development. Times China will synchronize with the construction progress in the Bay Area and thereby contribute to urban development and industrial upgrading.
