The 2021 New Year Summit of China’s Real Estate Leaders and China’s Real-Estate Leaderboard Award Ceremony, events cosponsored by the Guangdong Real Estate Chamber of Commerce and house.163.com, were held on March 26 at Langham Place Guangzhou. Focusing on the subject of drivers for dual circulation in the real-estate sector, leaders of the industry gathered in order to gain insight into the state of the industry, continue the quest for new ideas and inspire continued success. Times China Board Chairman Shum Chiu Hung, who is also executive president of the Guangdong Real Estate Chamber of Commerce, participated in the round-table session and shared his opinions with the guests.

Revolving the subject "Seeking the Essence of Real Estate in Debate on Diverse Boundaries,” Mr. Shum proposed an emphasis on the promotion of lean management among organizations through a digital approach so as to adapt for steady growth.

In the round-table conversation based upon the theme "Venturing into Urban Renewal and Reshaping the Second Curve,” Cui Jiufeng, the assistant president of Times China and general manager of the Group's Urban Renewal Center, had interesting exchanges with the other experts and peers onstage. Mr. Cui indicated that, in regard to the evolution from "reconstruction of old towns, old plants, and old villages" to "urban renewal,” it isn't only the change of wording but is also a revolution in the industry. Currently, the government's policies ensure sustainable development in urban renewal, because political sophistication and stability are essential in order for the industry to thrive. Accordingly, more cities will be incorporated into the trend in ways that reflect their particular hallmarks.

During the event, Mr. Shum was appointed to serve as president of the first council of the Youth Committee of Guangdong Real Estate Chamber of Commerce; Cui Jiufeng was elected as the vice chairman of the Urban Renewal Committee of Guangdong Real Estate Chamber of Commerce; and Tang Zhangjian, deputy general manager of the Group's Material Procurement Center of the Operations and Product Center, was appointed as vice chairman of the Bidding and Procurement Committee of the Guangdong Real Estate Chamber of Commerce.

Additionally, Times China was honored with the 2020 Outstanding Contribution Award for its efforts in fighting the pandemic and won the title "Annual Influential Brand for Communication" presented by the China’s Real Estate Leaderboard 2020.
