The Inauguration of the Second Board of Directors of the Guangzhou Society for Promotion of the Guangcai program and the Launch Ceremony of the “Guangcai Aid 1+10 Campaign for Rural Revitalization” in Guangzhou were held at the Guangzhou Institute of Socialism on the afternoon of May 19, 2021. Mr. Lei Biao, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Guangdong Federation of Industry & Commerce, attended the event. Mr. Wang Shitong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and director of the United Front Work Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee, gave a speech at the event.

· Chairman Shum Chiu Hung is reelected as the executive vice president

The Second General Assembly and the First Meeting of the Second Board of Directors elected its new board, with Mr. Wei Guohua, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Guangzhou Federation of Industry & Commerce chosen to serve as the president of the second Board of Directors. At the meeting, Mr. Shum Chiu Hung, board chairman of the Company and founder of Guangdong Times Foundation, was elected as executive vice president of the second Board of Directors. It was the second time that Mr. Shum was elected as the executive vice president since 2012, when he was elected as the executive vice president of the first Board of Directors.

· The meeting

The “Guangcai Aid 1+10 Campaign for Rural Revitalization” in Guangzhou was launched at the meeting. With a focus on the industrial advantages of the rural areas and ten pairing assistance areas of Guangzhou, three major plans, such as the Guangcai live-streaming assistance, Guangcai intellectual assistance and Guangcai caravan consumption collaboration, would be carried out to promote collaboration between eastern and western regions and the high-quality development of rural revitalization.
